To our lovely, loyal supporters, friends and customers. You guys are AMAZING and we’re absolutely touched by the kind words and support that has been flooding in since we made our announcement regarding the future of The Retailery.
We’ve been blown away by David Taylor (Sorry David, it won't let us tag you) who has started a petition on our behalf, not to mention all of the individuals who have offered assistance! We really are so grateful.
In the midst of the storm, we are still proud to continue supporting start up ventures and with this in mind we are excited to welcome Fitology Kitchen as our newest tenants to the Retailery!
This exciting venture is run by brother and sister team, Sarra and Anis, who provide healthy, balanced and nutritional food that is colourful, clean, vibrant and incredibly tasty!
Our vegan followers will also be excited to see a whole menu dedicated to your needs as well as an extensive menu that includes gluten free products too.
Fitology Kitchen are a pop up business who are trading with us over the Christmas period and hopefully beyond, to provide our customers and supporters with the best breakfasts, lunches and snacks in town!

The Retailery Advent Calendar - Day 5
In-Line Accounts are another tenant who use our offices upstairs, here in the Retailery.
Janet, Mel and Vivien can help with all things tax, accounts and more so get in touch with them via our website, www.retailery.co.uk
We are incredibly sad to announce that as of the end of January 2019, The Retailery as we all know and love it, will cease to exist.
Things Made Public CIC have worked tirelessly to create a space that supports and subsidises local entrepreneurs and provides a diverse events programme full of local performers and artists, all whilst our independent food vendors dish up everything from authentic fish curry (thank Jas' Punjabi Kitchen & Mint Chutney) through to lovingly made pizzas (hats off to the Italian Kitchen) washed down with a cheeky cocktail from Booze Made Public.
From the Rum & Reggae nights hosted by the infamous DJ Looney & Delboy (aka Eamonn Lorimer and Derek Stevenson) through to Camp Karaoke, which thanks to Chamonix Aspen has become one of the most sought after nights in Romford, we’ve absolutely adored watching The Retailery create real change in our home town. Whether you love chilling out at Booze and Board Games belting out a tune at Open Mic Nights, busting out a groove to the sounds of ECHOor indulging in the Rocky Hip-hop vibe at Fraser Moreton & Friends, we hope The Retailery has provided a place where you felt safe, had a great night out, or could just chill out with a book and a cuppa if you fancied it!
Unfortunately, we have learned that our application for ‘Discretionary Rates Relief’ has been declined and as a small not-for-profit organisation this leaves us unable to keep the doors open.
This is an issue facing independent businesses up and down the country and we are absolutely devastated to be part of this awful trend in which independent businesses are forced off the high street by government policies.
We hope to see a lot of familiar faces over the coming weeks as we celebrate the forthcoming festive season and make this Christmas one to remember for our tenants, customers and friends!
Thank you so much for your support over the last two years, we’re gutted to be leaving our home town but keep your eyes peeled for updates on our new site coming soon, in Ilford.
